2015 Sejong Writing Competition
"The goals of the Sejong Writing Competition are to discover children and young adults talented in writing and to encourage them to learn and write about Korea and its culture. Through this writing competition we hope to increase the awareness and understanding of Korea’s cultural heritage amongst the younger generations growing up in the United States."
There are both essay and poetry divisions. Deadline is February 28th, 2015.

"Teen Ink [is] a national teen magazine, book series, and website devoted entirely to teenage writing, art, photos and forums." They have seven different writing contests, plus a cover art contest. You can also just submit work for publication (East senior Casey Saslawsky had a story published on this site when she was a freshman).
